Client introduction

The client is one of the largest multinational pharmaceutical companies in China and has achieved sustained high growth in the Chinese market for several consecutive years. 

 

Project background

The Chinese market is one of the most important markets for the client in the world, and in order to sustain high growth, the client has established manufacturing and R&D centers in China in recent years. China team needs to transform from pure sales of mature products to the Chinese market, to high penetration of Chinese market, and even to develop new products just for the Chinese market.  The senior and middle management team need to develop capability and leadership to drive this transformation, and therefore the client asked external consultants to support. 

 

Solution

Leader’s Gene was invited to help clients to design learning and development programs for middle-level to senior management team.

1- In the middle-level manager learning program, Leader’s Gene consultants designed classroom training, case studies, drama (cooperating with the coach of Shanghai Theatre Academy) and team coaching to ensure good learning results.

2- In the Senior Manager Learning Program, Leader’s Gene consultants designed an action learning program together with classroom learning. Consultants also provide coaching and feedback to support senior managers to design project performance evaluation systems for their business execution.

 

Impact

These two learning and development programs have been on-going for nine  successive years. The participants of these two projects have grown into key leaders in client’s China team. And the projects were nominated as “President Award” to show its impact.
