The client is local Chinese food chain

 

Project background

With the high growth of the client, there is a strong need of management pipeline who can keep up with the company's growth. Internal training is the client's main talent development strategy. The client needed to hire external consultant and 1) clarify competency model for managers at different levels to support the client’s strategic development; 2) Evaluate current managers and identify high potentials to support company's development needs. 3) Provide targeted development and training programs for high-potential talents.

 

Solution

Aligned with the client’s executives and HR team, Leader’s Gene designed customized program: 1) Establish a leadership competency model for senior and middle level management team; 2) Evaluate the current management team accordingly, using current leadership status (maturation) and leadership potential (learning agility) as two dimensions; 3) Organize online assessments with the “customized” VERA8 leadership quality and the TALENTx7 learning agility to assess leadership potential. Provide both personal and team reports of the results of the assessment; 4) Create a development plan for high-potential talents.

 

Impact

Consultants worked together with client’s internal team and established the leadership competency model through seminar, guided discussion, etc. All senior and middle level managers participated in online assessment and better understood themselves. The client well understood the position of their leaders in both maturity and potential, and approved the development plan to further grow their leaders in the future.
